West Ham – Manchester City

West Ham United hosts the champion Manchester City in a match from the 13th round of the English Premier League. We will examine this game at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

West Ham are currently 13th in the league standings with 12 points and a record of 3 wins, 3 draws and 6 defeats. The Hammers started the new season in a really tough way, but after this Manuel Pellegrini’s team started winning points on a more regular basis. West Ham are unbeaten in their last three games, winning 5 points against Leicester City, Burnley and Huddersfield Town.

In their last game the Londoners visited Huddersfield and made a 1-1 draw. Alex Pritchard opened the score for Huddesfield, but Felipe Anderson equalized for the Hammers 15 minutes before the end.

West Ham are currently in a run of three games without a loss, but now it’s going to be very hard for them against Man City.

Manchester City are leading the Premier League standings with 32 points and a record of 10 wins and 2 draws. Right now Pep Guardiola’s team have 2 points advantage in front of Liverpool. The Cityzens are currently in a run of four consecutive wins, achieved over Burnley, Tottenham, Southampton and Manchester United.

In their last game City defeated Manchester United at the big derby at the Etihad. David Siva, Sergio Aguero and Ilkay Gundogan scored for the Cityzens, who outperfomed the Red Devils and deserved to win. Guardiola’s boys once again proved that they are the number one contenders for the title.

These are our thoughts about the Premier League clash between West Ham United and Manchester City at the London Stadium. Man City are the obvious favourite here, but surely it won’t be a walk in the park for them. Let’s see.
