Werder Bremen – Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich are once again showing an impressive form in the German Bundesliga, winning six consecutive games and returning back to the top of the league. The Bavarians managed to beat the sensation Red Bull Leipzig and proved to be the leading contender for the title.
Now Carlo Ancelotti’s team will travel to Bremen to meat Werder and we could say that the two teams are in a totally different condition at the moment. While Bayern are leading the table after 17 games played, Werder are just three points above the relegation zone, struggling to show their best football since the start of the season. Alexander Nouri’s team didn’t win neither one of its last three games, losing at home against Borussia Dortmund the last weekend.
Bayern Munich’s manager Carlo Ancelotti is still without the services of key players like Jerome Boateng and Arturo Vidal, who are still recovering from injuries. Thiago Alcantara and the youngster Julian Green are also recovering and they are doubtful for the visit to Bremen.
Werder can’t rely on the suspended Jaroslav Drobny, while Florian Grillitsch and Izet Hajrovic are unavaliable because of injuries. Clemens Fritz, Aron Johannsson, Zlatko Junuzovic, Philipp Bargfrede and Janek Sternberg are all doubtful for the home team, while the good news come from the recovery of Diagne Fallou, who is once again fit and ready to play.
For Werder it’s a bad time to play against Bayern Munich. Alexander Nouri’s team in not in the best possible form in the last few weeks, while Carlo Ancelotti’s boys are showing once again their best football after some moments of doubt in the last few months. Bayern are the clear favourite to take the three points here, making just another step towards the big goal – defending the title and proving to be the best team in Germany in the last few years.
