Scotland – Czech Republic
Scotland and the Czech Republic will go head to head at the Hampden Park in a fixture from Group D of the Euro 2020. We believe it’s a pretty good moment to share some thoughts about this game with you. Are you ready?
Scotland are excited about the Euro 2020 as this is their first major competition since 1998. The whole nation waited 23 years to be here and now everyone hopes that manager Steve Clarke and his players will make a memorable performance at the European Championship. The Tartan Army is surely not among the favorites to win the competitions, but they hope to reach the knockout phase at least.
Scotland were never giants in world football, but they have some interesting players to look at. Liverpool’s Andrew Robertson is captaining the team while Manchester United’s Scott McTominay and Celtic’s Callum McGregor are among the key midfielders in the squad. At the same time Southampton’s Che Adams is the player who must score the goals in attack.
The Czech Republic enter this game in Glasgow as a slight favorite – at least according to the most pundits. Led by West Ham United’s impressive midfielder Tomas Soucek the Czech team is sharing the same goal as Scotland – passing the group stage and reaching the knockout phase of the Euro.
Tomas Soucek is indeed the most impressive player in the Czech team. He’s been amazing since joining West Ham and he was one of the best Premier League midfielders last season. At the same time Bayer Leverkusen’s Patrick Schick is one of the key players in attack.
That’s our preview for the Euro 2020 game between Scotland and the Czech Republic at the Hampden Park. The Scottish side will try to use the home ground advantage here, but they have a solid opponent against them. It won’t be easy for them at all.
