Real Madrid – Bayern Munich

It’s time for some Champions League action once again, because Real Madrid welcomes Bayern Munich at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in the Spanish capital. This is a second leg from the 1/2-final tie between these two European football giants.

Real Madrid are leading with 2-1 after the first game at the Santiago Bernabeu. Bayern Munich have a tough task ahead of them, but you can be sure that they won’t give up until the end.

Let’s see what we can expect from these two teams on Tuesday night.

In the first leg Zinedine Zidane took some interesting decisions about his starting line-up. Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale remained on the bench, while Isco and Lucas Vasquez started the game.

But maybe this is not that much of a surprise. Benzema and Bale’s form this season has been very poor, so it won’t be strange to see them on the bench in the second leg as well.

The big problem of Zidane is the injury of Isco. The midfielder is injured, so he won’t play against Bayern. The French manager can choose between Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, Lucas Vasquez and Marco Asensio for the ones who will help Cristiano Ronaldo in attack.

Bayern Munich’s manager Jupp Heynckes also have a lot of problems at the moment.

Arjen Robben and Jerome Boateng got injured in the first leg, while Manuel Neuer, Arturo Vidal and Kingsley Coman are also out. The good news come from the recovery of David Alaba, who could feature against Real Madrid. It’d be a huge improvement for the Bavarians, if they can use Alaba instead of Rafinha at the left flank.

Real Madrid have the advantage over Bayern, but one shall never underrestimate the power of the Bavarian club. The Germans won’t give up and it won’t be easy for Real.
