Football Review

Although most of the major football leagues are currently in a holiday mood, this doesn’t mean that football is over. We still have some games to enjoy and bet on.

In the North America’s CONCACAF zone we will have the chance to witness two matches. Panama hosts Honduras and Costa Rica are getting ready to face Trinidad and Tobago at home.

For both Panama and Honduras it’s really important to win this clash, if the want to keep good chances of qualifying for the World Cup. Right now Panama are 4th in the group, which guarantees participating in the Intercontinental Play-off. But they are also just two points behind the 3rd USA. This means that a win over Honduras will allow Panama to get into the Top 3 of the group.

Honduras on the other hand are 5th in the group, but being on just two points behind Panama and the play-off spot. So, this is why a win in this game will be a solid step for Honduras in the desired direction.

Meanwhile Costa Rica faces Trinidad and Tobago at home ground. Costa Rica are currently 2nd in the group, being on six points behind the leader Mexico. But also having a game in hand. A win over Trinidad and Tobago will also allow them to move on three points ahead of USA at the 2nd place.

As for Trinidad and Tobago, they are currently the weakest team in the group, having just 3 points won from five games played. It’s difficult to think that they could qualify for the World Cup, but a surprising win in this clash would bring back their chances. But can they do it? After all, they have lost four of their five games so far, scoring just two goals in the process.

There are also some friendly games we are about to see on Wednesday night.

In New Jersey Ecuador is facing El Salvador, while Canada is hosting Curaçao in Montreal. If you love to watch South American teams play, you can also switch to the Peru – Jamaica game, which is about to be played in Arequipa.
