Burnley – Liverpool

The current leader in the Premier League Liverpool will try to make it four from four when they travel to Burnley in a match from the fourth round of the league. We have all of the reasons to expect a great clash at the Turf Moor on Saturday. Let’s take a look.

How we said, Liverpool are at the top of the table with 9 points won from the first three rounds. So far Jurgen Klopp’s boys were perfect against Norwich City, Southampton and Arsenal. Their biggest goal this season is winnng the Premier League, so they will need every win they can get. As we know very well the rivalry with Manchester City is truly spectacular. Every point is going to matter.

In the previous round Liverpool faced Arsenal at the Anfield and once again the European champions showed their impressive strenght. Klopp’s boys scored three goals in Bernd Leno’s net, not giving any chances to the Gunners to take something from the game. Joel Matip opened the score for the hosts, while in the second half Mohamed Salah showed his magic and scored twice. In the last few minutes Lucas Torreira scored for Arsenal, but it didn’t mean much.

Burnley have four points from the first three rounds. The Clarets began the season with a win over Southampton, but in the next two games Sean Dyche’s boys took only one point.

In the last round Burnley had a tough visit to the Molineux where the Clarets shared the points with Wolverhampton Wanderers. Ashley Barnes opened the score for Burnley and the truth is that the visitors were very close to win the game. But in the 97th minute Wolves equalised when Raul Jimenez beat Nick Pope from the penalty spot.
