Bologna – Juventus

Bologna hosts the champion Juventus in a match from the 25h round of the Italian Serie A. Let’s take a look at this clash in our preview for the game.

Right now Bologna needs points more than ever. The Rossoblu are 18th in the league, fighting against relegation. So far this season Bologna have won just 18 points, which is the reason why they are in this situation at the moment. Their record in the league looks like this: 3 wins, 9 draws and 12 defeats. In their last five matches the Rossoblu won once, made two draws and suffered two losses.

Bologna’s last game in the Serie A ended with a loss for them. Sinisa Mihajlovic’ team suffered a 1-2 defeat during the visit to Roma at the Olimpico. Nicola Sansone scored Bologna’s only goal in the match, but it was not enough for at least a draw in the capital. Right now Bologna are 3 points behind the 17th Empoli and the safe zone.

The situation for Juventus is much different, of course. The Bianconeri are leaders in the standings, enjoying a healthy 13 points advantage in front of the 2nd Napoli. Nobody doubts that Juve will win the Scudetto once again, it’s really out of question.

In their previous round of the league Juventus enjoyed a 3-0 win over Frosinone at home. Paulo Dybala, Leonardo Bonucci and Cristiano Ronaldo scored for Max Allegri’s team at the Allianz Stadium. For the Old Lady this was another comfortable performance, which ended with an effortless win.

During the week Juve had a pretty bad experience in Europe, though. The Bianconeri were beaten with 0-2 by Atletico Madrid in a first 1/8-final from the Champions League.

Juventus are a huge favourite against Bologna, even away from home. The Rossoblu will try to take something from the game, but it’s going to be hard.
