Bayer Leverkusen – Bayern Munich

Bayer Leverkusen faces Bayern Munich at the BayArena in a fixture from the 13th round of the Bundesliga. This is a game between the first and the second in the current standings so that’s a great chance to preview it.

Surpisingly or not, Bayer Leverkusen are leading the Bundesliga standings with 28 points won in 12 games won. Die Werkself are currently one point ahead of the champions and they are now dreaming of something big this season. If it’s not the title, then at least a place in the Top 4 and a return to the Champions League.

Bayer Leverkusen are enjoying a run of three consecutive wins in the league. On Wednesday Peter Bosz’ team won for a 8th time this season. Leverkusen visited Koln at the RheinEnergieStadion and celebrated a stunning 4-0 win. Weiser and Diaby scored within the first 10 hours, while after the break Schick and Wirtz left the Billy Goats without any chances.

For Bayern Munich this is a chance to get back on the top of the league. Like we just said they are just one point behind the leaders, so this is a great opportunity for them.

After two consecutive draws in the league, Bayern Munich finally won again. Hansi Flick’s team hosted Wolfsburg at the Allianz Arena and conceded first, but at the end won this game with 2-1. It was Robert Lewandowski who scored both goals after assists from Kingsley Coman and Jerome Boateng.

These are our thoughts before the Bundesliga derby between Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich on Saturday. The big question now is this – can Die Werkself keep the first place in the standings? Or maybe Bayern Munich will show us why they deserve to be on top? One thing is for sure – it won’t be an easy game for the visitors!
