Barcelona – Slavia Praha
Barcelona faces Slavia Praha at the Camp Nou in a game from Group F of the Champions League. What Los Cules will try to do is win for a third consecutive time and keep the first place in the group. Let’s take a look.
At this moment Barca are leading the group standings with 7 points, having 3 points advantage in front of Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund. They are the only unbeaten team in the group at the moment, too. In their previous game Barcelona didn’t have their best game, but still managed to acheive a 2-1 win against Slavia in the Czech capital Prague.
Right now there is a lot of pressure in Barcelona’s dressing room. On Saturday the Catalans suffered a bad 1-3 loss during their visit to Levante in La Liga, whch once again showed us that they have some serious problems. More and more fans want to see the manager Ernesto Valverde resigning, but so far he’s not having such plans.
Against Levante Valverde took a controversial decision to leave Ousmane Dembele out of the squad for the game. Meanwhile Luis Suarez got injured in the first half in Valencia, so most likely the Uruguayan striker won’t be avaliable against Slavia Praha. Because of this, we expect to see Dembele returning in the match squad.
Slavia Praha started their Champions League campaign very good, doing a draw against Inter Milan at the San Siro, but in their next two matches they suffered defeats against Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona at home. Against Los Cules Slavia did well and even managed to score a goal, thanks to Jan Boril, but just 7 minutes later Peter Olayinka scored himself an own goal.
Despite of having some serious issues at the moment, we expect to see Barcelona doing the job against Slavia Praha on Tuesday. The Czech champion is a good team, but it’s a different level here.
