Arsenal – Sheffield United
Arsenal hosts Sheffield United at the Emirates in a game from the 4th round of the Premier League. The Gunners started their season in a positive way, while for Sheffield United it’s a really difficult moment. Let’s see.
Arsenal won their first two games in the Premier League in the 2020/21 season before suffering a fist loss from the hands of Liverpool. Despite this defeat the Gunners are currently 5th in the league with 6 points won and they can be pretty positive about that. Arsenal’s primary goal this season remains a place in Top 4, so they are moving in the right direction at the moment.
During the week Arsenal brought another joy to their fans. Mikel Arteta’s team eliminated Liverpool and progressed in the Carabao Cup. The game at the Anfield ended with a 0-0 draw while during the penalties Arsenal did better and qualified for the next round.
Surely Mikel Arteta is doing a fine job since he was appointed a manager. The Spanish coach is creating a fine chemistry in the team and his players are doing better than during Unai Emery’s reign.
Sheffield United are in crisis right now. The Blades did wonderful last season, but right now they are in the relegation zone with 0 points won from three matches played. The manager Chris Wilder surely has some food for thought at the moment. Three consecutive losses is not the way he wanted to start the campaign.
In their last game Sheffield United hosted newcomers Leeds United, but suffered a 0-1 loss. They conceded the only goal in the match in the 88th minute and it was really dissapointing.
These are our thoughts about the Premier League game between Arsenal and Sheffield United on Sunday. The Gunners are on the rise while Sheffield United’s current situation is bit worrying.
